Men Least Likely to Scream (as much) Getting Brazilian Wax at Dyanna Waxing Salon NYC

It’s long been held that women can tolerate pain better than men. (Even the TV show Myth Busters proved it to be true with several experiments.) So, when men and women come for a Brazilian Wax hair removal session at Dyanna Spa in New York, there is understandably more sound coming out the rooms where men are being treated.

In case you aren’t familiar with Brazilian Bikini Wax treatments for men, this hair removal procedure involves removing all of the hair surrounding the male genitalia. Hair on the butt and butt crack is part of the deal. The esthetician only removes as much hair as the man desires.

At Dyanna Spa in NY, our estheticians use one of two methods. One method involves applying warm wax to the appropriate areas, covering the wax with paper strips, and then quickly pulling off the strips. (That’s when one might hear a quick “YIKES!” coming from the treatment room.)

The other method involves Cirepil Blue Hard Wax. It is a method involving the application of wax to appropriate hairy places. When hardened, our esthetician simply peels off the wax. To give men a fair shake, a Brazilian wax treatment is innately more painful for men than for women because the skin in a man’s genital area is looser and more sensitive. Removing the strips or peeling off the wax stretches a man’s skin more, and the pain is therefore greater.

Here’s the good news! The more times you get a Brazilian wax, the easier and less painful it is. After each hair removal treatment, the hairs grow back thinner and softer so its removal is faster and easier.
